Reuters said that on her Facebook account, Ms. Yingluck posted a short video along with photos showing the moment she saw her brother Thaksin on the plane to return to Thailand.
The photos and videos were posted with the status line: `Finally, the day my brother has been waiting for has arrived.`
Mrs. Yingluck wished her brother a safe journey and said that she did not accompany her brother on this trip.
Ms. Yingluck’s article did not detail the time and moment Mr. Thaksin boarded the plane.

Previously, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Mr. Thaksin’s daughter, said that the private plane carrying her father would land at Thailand’s Don Mueang airport at 9:00 a.m. on August 22.
Mr. Thaksin was Thailand’s prime minister from 2001 to 2006, before being overthrown in a mutiny in September 2006.
Mr. Thaksin’s decision to return to the country after 15 years of exile drew mixed reactions.
This morning, thousands of supporters wearing red shirts gathered at the Don Mueang airport area to welcome Mr. Thaksin.
In addition, the police are said to be waiting to issue an arrest warrant for Mr. Thaksin as soon as he gets off the plane.
General Damrongsak Kittiprapas, commander of the Thai national police, said that the country’s police units rehearsed on August 21 to prepare for a response when Mr. Thaksin returned home.
It is expected that Mr. Thaksin will then be taken to the Supreme Court of Thailand to confirm that he is a wanted person according to the court’s order.
If convicted, Mr. Thaksin could be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
However, Mr. Thaksin denied these accusations.
Mr. Thaksin’s potential return trip takes place right before an important vote in the Thai parliament to choose the country’s new prime minister.
Pheu Thai, a party closely linked to the Shinawatra family, led an 11-party coalition to form a government.
