In April, President Trump surprised the world when he accepted an invitation to meet Kim Jong-un in an unprecedented meeting.
Before that, the two US and North Korean leaders had `unpleasant` words.
Reasons to choose Singapore
Observers say Singapore, a country that has hosted many high-level meetings in history, is the top choice for reasons such as neutrality, efficiency and the ability to maintain public order in the country.
“Singapore’s neutrality towards the US and North Korea is equal.
According to Mr. Lim, because both North Korea and the US have permanent diplomatic missions in Singapore, the two countries can easily prepare for this summit.
